Volunteers who have been restoring and preserving several log cabins at Quinsippi Island - some contemporary to those at Abraham Lincoln’s New Salem - hosted a “Lincoln-Era Frontier Settlement Day” on Saturday, June 13.

The event, which was free and open to the public, was tied to Quincy’s year-long celebration of the Lincoln Bicentennial. The Log Cabin Village is accessible from All-America Park on North Bonansinga Drive in Quincy.
